7.23.12

Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

  1. as always i love and i a m greatly intrigued by the word of god or the Bible as i would love to put it.

all this is true if one sat and observed the world that we live in., money can be a root of evil , however my thing is there is nothing wrong with wanting to be rich, as long as it is done right, achived right through hard work and remembering where you come from and celebrating with those that do not have.

can you explain to me why in many cases we relate god to poverty?

  2. The Bible says that it is easier for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I think it is easy to say we can be rich and serve God, but hard to do. Although, there are some that achieve this. It also depends what definition you give the term “rich.” Even the poorest people in America are seen as rich in the eyes of poor in third world countries. And…on a deeper level, I find myself to be richer than the person with the most money in the world, because the Lord has blessed with with eternal salvation and on top of that while I am living on earth He has blessed me with a beautiful family and treasured friends.
