Children’s books

I thought I would list a few fun or special books that I have read with my kids recently:

I was becoming frustrated with how much emphasis “stuff” had in our house (we are continuously purging our house).  We try to teach the kids that they are very  blessed (as we ourselves are) but they know no different, so I can’t put too much blame on them.  Anyway…the book Those Shoes by Maribeth Boelts was a helpful aid in showing them that others are grateful simply to have shoes on their feet.

A fun one that gets the whole crowd laughing is Rhyming Dust Bunnies by Jan Thomas.

You’re All My Favorites by Sam McBratney is very sweet, very loving and fits in quite well with our family.  This is one of my favorites!

Two of my favorite holiday books are The Pumpkin Patch Parable and The Pine Tree Parable by Liz Higgs.  There are more in this series that I think we will have to check out.

Another cute and just fun one is Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson.

I would go into all my favorite Christmas ones, but that would be a bit premature…I will post those closer to that time of year…if I remember.  😉
